Yet another prewritten post...

Please don’t anyone buy me a copy of What to Expect When You Are Expecting. Women get so crazy gobbling up any pregnancy information crap—don’t do this, you’ve got to do this, mothers who do this are terrible, etc. I think it all just creates anxiety and unease. Because you know if you ate a piece of broccoli in your third week, your baby is 60% more likely to have a sixth finger on his left hand.

This is one reason I really like my doctor. She affirms my decision not to do too much research. She said that this pregnancy is going to progress like nature intends. All of the reading, researching, and worrying is not going to change a thing except make you a nervous wreck. I do, however, subscribe to the weekly newsletters from Baby Center. It tells me factually how the baby is developing each week. I've learned a new respect for "just the facts, ma'am."
