Web window shopping

I do a lot of web window shopping. Because, well, looking is free. So I thought I'd use my powers for good and share with you the neat things I find.

Today's discovery is Appalachian Baby. While they don't have a large selection of items, the things they do sell are instant heirlooms. According to their site, most items are knitted as they are ordered. They also sell yarn (some from local sources and local mills) and kits to knit your own sweaters, booties, and hats. I just love the idea of these West Virginia artisans using high quality materials, creating classic baby knits, and preserving their way of life. And that lamb-eared cardigan is so darn cute.
