When Jack smiled for the first time, my heart sang.
The discovery of his little anomalies stripped away any expectations that I had for him. Which has been a great blessing. I take such pleasure in seeing him grow and develop. He loves interacting with others--he’s quite a flirt. And he has such fun discovering his body. His tongue and his feet are two of his current faves.
Life with Jack and Charlie is such a lesson in taking one day at a time, learning that there are no guarantees, living in the now, and more clichés too numerous to list…lol. But it’s true.
