Another development that I haven’t written about yet is that Charlie is eating solid foods! He started eating rice cereal after his four month check-up. He’s really ambivalent about it—he could take it or leave it. But it did give both of us practice on feeding.
Last month, he started eating puréed sweet potatoes, which he really likes. We’ve also tried bananas, avocado, and pears. He’s so funny to watch when he eats. You’d think I’ve served him up lemon rind or something by the way his nose wrinkles and his eyes squint. He’s warming up to the avocado, but we’re going to have to keep working on the others.
